We highlight the increase in from our services tackling isolation amongst people with learning disabilities. There is greater need than ever, making our friendship activity groups very popular.

Hybrid service Better Connected is continuing to innovate. We highlight the monthly magazine that is available as a stand-alone subscription.

50th Anniversary Appeal Update

We send our grateful thanks to all who contributed to our appeal last year, and share the latest news on progress with the plans for Camp Guideposts. We also celebrate Daniel, who was first prize winner in the Big 50th Birthday Prize Draw, and report on the 50th Anniversary Ball.

Lisa’s Story – Living with Complex Emotional Needs

Our Newsletter Focus is on the devastating condition termed Complex Emotional Needs (CEN), with the heartbreaking story of Lisa who has lived with it undiagnosed for over 50 years. Find out about Guideposts’ groundbreaking coaching service, specifically supporting people living with CEN.

Sustaining our Future

We explain the charity’s financial situation in the light of the current cost of living crisis, which emphasises how crucial donations from individual supporters are to our continued work.

We take inspiration from Robert, who invites donations to Guideposts in lieu of payment at talks he gives, and highlight new methods to make it easy to leave a gift to the charity in your will.

Connect with Cake

Our summer fundraiser for all to take part in is launched: Connect with Cake will celebrate friendship over Loneliness Awareness week, 12-16 June. Find out more and get involved!
