Ways you can volunteer

If you’re not sure you would fit with any of our existing roles, but would still like to see how you can help Guideposts, we’d be happy to talk to you and fit you in! We believe everyone has something they can contribute. Send us an enquiry here.

Volunteer

from home

Lead or assist with one of our Zoom groups, write for us, or help us prepare activity packs – we have roles from as little as an hour a week of commitment!

Volunteer

with our groups & Hubs

We have groups running in Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire and Hertfordshire, and a huge range of activities and socials to get involved in.

Volunteer

outdoors

Get your hands dirty at our community garden in Oxfordshire or become a befriender and take our members on day trips!

Volunteer

on our Minibus
service

You can make a huge difference by enabling someone with a learning disability to get to a day centre they attend.

Volunteer

in the community

Help one of our members get out of the house and into the community with our one-to-one support schemes.

Volunteer at head office

Get experience in HR, finance, fundraising or other office work while contributing to a good cause!

Other ways you can help

Take part in our Global Challenge

We’re on a mission to travel 21,976 miles by the end of 2021 – enough to get all the way around the world. Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to walk, run or cycle a share of the distance and form an important part of that exciting journey.

Corporate partnerships

By working in partnership with Guideposts, your business can support people living with long term conditions, disability, or caring responsibilities to improve their mental health and wellbeing and help them feel included in their local communities.

Raise funds

Find out how you can donate to Guideposts, give money as you shop, or become a fundraising ambassador and raise funds through sponsored challenges or events.
