Autumn Highlights 2022 from Guideposts

The latest newsletter from Guideposts, highlighting our autumn activity and our 50th Anniversary celebrations. We focus on our Stroud Hub and members’ stories, together with lots of information, inspiration, and ideas to improve your wellbeing. Read on to discover some of our autumn highlights!

David’s Story

David attends Stroud Hub, one of Guideposts’ learning disability day services. He recently enjoyed a visit to an airfield with the group, and shares his thoughts on what makes the Stroud Hub such a great place to be.

CONNECT

Sharing our members’ stories is at the heart of Guideposts. We heard about the experiences of one of our CONNECT members who has been experiencing anxiety. In our newsletter, they describe CONNECT as “a lifeline. Friendship, company, laughter, and also someone to cry to when you think you are just on your own”. Find out how CONNECT can support people experiencing anxiety in our newsletter.

50th Anniversary Appeal

Over £10,000 has been raised so far for our campsite. People with learning disabilities or long-term mental health conditions are more likely to struggle to afford a holiday, and those with mobility needs may have difficulty in finding somewhere accessible to enjoy. Our campsite will aim to tackle this, helping ensure people with additional needs can experience holidays.

Read our Autumn Highlights newsletter and celebrate Guideposts’ achievements as we reflect on our past and look forward to our future.
