Who is OpenMine for?

OpenMine is for anyone with autism, Asperger’s, or a learning difficulty who enjoys Minecraft would like to make friends. It’s a friendly, cooperative Minecraft server, where griefing or bullying is not tolerated, and moderators are on hand to help you with any problems you have. The aim is to provide a space where players with autism and Asperger’s can enjoy Minecaft, make friends, and be themselves!

What do I need to join?

You need a copy of Minecraft (Java edition) to join. If you want to join our Discord channel, you’ll need to install Discord on your computer and have a microphone.

Membership costs £12 a month and gives you access to all of our Better Connected events and a monthly magazine. However, the first month is free, so you don’t have to pay until you are sure about joining

What happens during the play together sessions?

Play together sessions are led by a volunteer and usually involve working on a group build, or going on an adventure together. Everyone is welcome to pitch in ideas and suggestions about what we do! We always make space space to chat about how our weeks have been and get to know other players.

What if I don’t know how to play Minecraft?

Don’t worry – if you are new to Minecraft and want to learn, we have volunteers and players who will be happy to help you get started.
