The Transformation of Paradise Fields Has Begun

For everyone who has supported this project, this is a milestone we’ve been looking forward to for a long time. After months of planning and preparation, the first phase of work is now underway, bringing us one step closer to creating an outdoor space where people can connect with nature, improve their wellbeing and enjoy meaningful activities together.

The Outdoor Wellbeing Hub has become an important part of Paradise Fields, providing opportunities for people to garden, learn new skills, build confidence, and enjoy the many benefits that spending time outdoors can bring. This exciting redevelopment will help us ensure the outdoor hub can support even more people for years to come.

Our original polytunnel has now been carefully removed, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. In its place, we’ll soon be installing a brand-new polytunnel that will provide an improved growing space for gardening activities, food production, and therapeutic outdoor sessions.

Preparing the Site

Behind the scenes, essential groundwork is already taking place. An electrical trench has been dug to reconnect power to our existing containers, ensuring the hub has the infrastructure needed to support future activities and developments.

Accessibility has also been a major priority from the outset. Work is underway to level the ground and create secure foundations that will make the Outdoor Wellbeing Hub easier to access for everyone, helping ensure the space is as inclusive as possible.

Building Strong Foundations

The next phase of the project will see the crush laid, levelled, and rolled to create strong, durable foundations for the new polytunnel. While these early stages may not be the most eye-catching, they are essential to creating a safe, sustainable space that will serve our community for many years to come.

Every dig, delivery, and layer of groundwork brings us closer to seeing the vision for Paradise Fields become a reality.

Community Support Making a Difference

Thank you to everyone who has helped us reach this exciting stage. Whether you’ve donated, volunteered, partnered with us, or simply cheered us on, you’ve played an important part in making this project possible.

We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Smiths Bletchington and Alfie for their incredible support in supplying and delivering the crush needed for the groundwork.

It’s a wonderful example of local organisations and individuals coming together to create something that will have a lasting impact for the local community for years to come.

As our Outdoor Wellbeing Hub takes shape, we’d love you to be part of its story. Every donation, no matter the size.

As a thank you for your support:

Every donor will have their name featured on a special recognition plaque in the new outdoor space.

Donors who give £250 or more will also have their name hand-painted onto a plant pot, creating a lasting part of Paradise Fields for everyone to enjoy.

Watch this space for more updates as the transformation continues!
