Community Based Groups supporting families living with dementia – making life worth living

Guideposts support people living with dementia and the families who care for them.  When Pat’s husband Jim was diagnosed with early‑onset dementia, caring for him became overwhelming. She felt exhausted, alone, and unsure where to turn.

Joining a Guideposts Connect group changed everything. Pat and Jim found understanding, friendship and a lifeline that helped them feel less isolated. “It gave us back a sense of hope,” Pat says. With gentle support and a welcoming community, they began to rebuild confidence and share moments of joy again. Pat found support for learning how to best care for Jim and financial and emotional advice.

Your support can give another family the same lifeline. £50 funds a Connect session for carers and their loved ones, helping them feel supported and less alone.
