Stroud Community Hub

Stroud Community Hub

The Hub is a friendly and vibrant place where adults with learning disabilities can come together to make friends, have fun, learn new skills, gain confidence and get involved in their local community.

Community Hub members can choose to attend creative art and craft days or activity days.

Current Status: We are glad to be up and running again! We are enjoying plenty of outdoor time, and of course have full cleaning and PPE procedures in place.

About Guideposts Community Hub

Our Community & Activity group meets on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, when members enjoy going out and about to, for example, local towns or villages, shops, parks and farms. These sessions are 9am – 4pm (currently 10am-3pm to allow for Covid measures), with lunch at a local café or a picnic lunch.

Our Creative Arts group meets on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays in a relaxed and supported environment where creativity and discussion are encouraged. Sessions are 10am – 3pm, 10am-12.30pm or 12.30pm-3pm. Those staying for a full day should bring a packed lunch.

You can choose which group to join, perhaps joining each one on different days of the week. Our friendly, experienced team will help with your plan to decide together what would suit you best.

How to join?

Please get in touch if you’re interested in joining the Community Hub, or if you’d like to ask any questions. We work with Gloucestershire County Council and can take referrals from social workers and other care providers.

We’ll get back in touch within 3 working days to arrange a time to meet or talk on the phone, and we offer a free trial day to get a feel for what we do and meet the team.

If we decide together that this would be the right service for you, we’ll then work with you on a support plan and set some goals to make the most of your time with us.
