Carers

Support for carers at Guideposts

Services > Services by need > Carers

Guideposts run a number of services which provide support and social opportunity to people with caring responsibilities. It can be difficult to recognise when you are a ‘carer’ if you are just doing what you do for your family or friend. If you support someone else, practically or financially, you can be seen as their carer.

In addition to the services below which are specifically for carers to attend, services for the person you care for may also help you.

CONNECT at Home

CONNECT at Home

A friendly service for anyone looking for regular companionship, conversation and laughs, hobbies/activities, respite breaks, a listening ear or practical support with day to day living.

CONNECT Social Groups

Guideposts CONNECT social groups are dementia-friendly friendship and support groups in Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire for people living with long term health conditions, people caring for a relative or friend, and those looking to make new local friendships.
