Dementia Wellbeing Hub

Dementia Wellbeing Hub

A supportive and engaging social space for people living with dementia or related conditions. Carers can enjoy a reliable respite and the opportunity to gain support and guidance from knowledgeable dementia trained staff and other professionals.

Current Status: Our Dementia Hub is currently paused, however we welcome your enquiry or expression of interest and will contact you with details of re-opening as soon as we are able to.
In the meantime we have an online Dementia Carers group that all interested may join.

About the Dementia Wellbeing Hub

The Dementia Wellbeing Hub in Gloucester opens every Wednesday, 10.30 am – 3.30 pm, with lunch included. Alternatively, you can attend for half a day with lunch, either 10.30 am – 1.30 pm or 12.30 pm – 3.30 pm.

At the hub, people living with dementia and their carers come together to enjoy conversation and companionship with some dementia-friendly activities. Carers can get support from one another, as well as advice from our knowledgeable dementia-trained staff.

There is a small fee of around £5 – £10 to attend.

What happens at the Dementia Wellbeing Hub?

Join us for a cuppa and:

  • Reminisce, socialise and find companionship
  • Enjoy activities which boost wellbeing for those living with dementia such as singing, arts & crafts, Boccia, reminiscing, meeting pets, and more.
  • Have fun and feel fulfilled.

Who can we support?

We welcome people living with dementia and related conditions, their carers, and ex-carers, who would like companionship in a friendly support group.

Why should I join?

At the Dementia Wellbeing Hub you will find a community of people who will welcome you. There’s a lot of laughter and good conversation to be had – and of course, plenty of tea.

Carers can benefit from a reliable weekly respite break and the opportunity to gain information and advice from our Hub team.
