Job Title:                    Forest School – Support Worker  

Location:                    Witney and across West and North Oxfordshire

Hours of work:           2.30 – 5.30 two evenings per week

Salary:                        £17,004 FTE (pro rata) £8.72 per hour

We are looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated support staff for our Children in Need funded Forest School project ‘Dreamcatchers’.

This is an inspirational project that offers children and young people with disabilities and/or SEN regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences. Forest School is a specialised learning approach that sits within and compliments the wider context of outdoor and woodland education and wellbeing.

You will provide direct support to children in a person-centred way, with activities that encourage social interaction, independent living skills and life skills.

You will promote and provide Forest School experiences which adhere to and apply the 6 principles of Forest School ethos.

A First Aid certificate and QCF/NVQ level 2 in Play work (or equivalent) is desirable, but not essential.
