Job Title:                  Community Opportunities Co-ordinator

Location:                  Gloucester  (occasional travel to other Guideposts sites)

Hours of work:        24 hours per week (Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur)

Salary:                       £28,500 FTE (pro rata)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Opportunities Coordinator to join Guideposts. If you are looking for a job that taps into your energy and motivates you every day, this could be the opportunity you are looking for.

We are looking for someone with experience and the drive to lead on developing existing and new Guideposts community opportunities, initiatives or projects within Gloucestershire. You will have a creative and organised approach to developing new ideas and be confident working with partners to explore, plan and grow opportunities.  You will have demonstrable experience of leading teams and managing change, and will use your knowledge of working with communities to achieve the outcomes that are needed.


  • Break Barriers – within society caused by misperceptions, prejudice, oversight or lack of provision.
  • Build Bridges – with essential information, resource, services and therapeutic approaches to help people manage their needs and connect with their communities.
  • Create Connections – so people have the opportunity to enjoy independence in all aspects of their lives – home, families, friends, leisure, learning and work so they can be an active member of society
