HiStreet Launch Plans 2019

GUIDEPOSTS TRUST UK · TUESDAY, 4 DECEMBER 2018

Have we told you our exciting news yet?

Guideposts are now in Witney Town Centre, our Oxfordshire team have moved into 33 High Street! We have never been so close to the centre before and we are loving being in the middle of all of the action. We’ve already had lots of people popping in to see what going on and we’ve loved meeting so many new people.

We’re still moving in at the moment and have a little more sprucing up to do, but in the New Year, our plan is to turn the building into a buzzing community location; somewhere for people to pop in have a chat, find out about our great services, volunteer with some exciting projects, learn to cook, sing karaoke, learn IT skills, access sensory play and so much more, right in the centre of Witney.

We’re planning an official launch in Spring 2019 so keep your eyes peeled for more information and how to get involved. Some of our existing clubs will now run from 33 High Street. Mates ‘N’ Dates and OX18 are two of our social groups, where adults with learning or physical disabilities, mental health issues or impairments attend social events across the county such as; coffee mornings, park walks, barn dances, karaoke nights, nightclub events, speed dating and more. With new services coming in 2019, there is a lot to look forward to. Please pop in and say hello, we’d love to meet more of our wonderful supporters!

Whilst we’re getting the building ready for the official launch we’ve opened the entrance area and it’s looking rather festive. We have diaries for 2019, Christmas cards, Lavender Bags (created using lavender grown by Dig N Grow) and Reindeer Food for sale. There’s also tea and coffee available too for donations. It would be great to see you in the build up to Christmas, pop in and find out more information about opportunities in your area. We also some fun colouring and music for the children with the Christmas tunes playing away in the background!
