Oxford Vapours Supports Guideposts!
We are delighted that Oxford Vapours have chosen Guideposts Trust to be their annual charity starting this month. A local company with improving people’s lives at their heart, there are many similarities between Oxford Vapours and Guideposts, and we are really looking forward to developing the relationship over the year.
Guideposts was chosen through a process whereby Oxford Vapours’ customers were asked to nominate charities to support, and the company’s staff team then voted for their favoured charity. We are glad to have been selected and won the hearts of Oxford Vapours’ wider community.
Founder and Managing Director Dan Greenall said “Guideposts is a great cause, and something I have wanted to support for a long time. My uncle had Downs Syndrome and passed away when I was 13 years old. He had lived with my family for a year, and we were great friends. We used to spend a lot of time together playing pool and watching football. So people with learning disabilities have always been close to my heart.”
The Oxford Vapours team have seen some of Guideposts’ work with people with learning disabilities, as the members of GLADS often take their daily walks near their Witney shop. They see the fun and friendship within the group, and how the Guideposts members are supported in improving their health and being part of the local community.

Shared aims to improve people’s lives
Improving people’s lives is also Dan’s main motivation behind Oxford Vapours. He learned first-hand how vaping could help his own and his father’s health, when they both switched from smoking to vaping at the same time. His father had had 3 large smoking-related tumours in his stomach removed, and was suffering with Deep Vein Thrombosis in one of his legs, so they were persuaded to give it a try. After switching, Dan found he could run more and play football better, while Dan’s father improved his health and could walk much more easily again. Dan is glad to hear similar stories from customers who have managed to quit smoking through vaping, and saved their lives.
Oxford Vapours has a shop in Witney, Oxfordshire, supplies by mail order, and distributes internationally. We are looking forward to raising awareness for people with additional needs to their broad and international client base.
