Art for Mental Health

We believe in the incredible power of art and community to uplift and support individuals with their mental health and well-being. Our Community Mental Health Art Group is a welcoming safe space where creativity flourishes, giving our members with mental health challenges, the chance to express themselves and connect with others. Our art and craft groups are more than just a creative outlet; they provide a warm, nurturing environment where individuals can open up about their thoughts and feelings. They also help with feelings of isolation that often come with mental health challenges.

“I enjoy the drawing class and it gives me a chance to talk to people, otherwise I would be on my own at home.” Tina, Mental Health Art Group.

A Short Film by Sam Simmons-Betts

In collaboration with Nick, Videographer Sam Simmons-Betts from SSB Films has created a short film that offers a glimpse into Nick’s life at Guideposts. Sam’s film gives a small insight into Nick’s life and how Guideposts has been a stable place for him and others struggling with mental health challenges.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to both Nick and Sam for their willingness to share their artistry and experiences with us.
